FAQ

Grepolis bot questions, answered straight

Including the two everyone actually wants to ask.

What does it cost?

Farming is free — no subscription, no trial, for as long as you want it. Everything else starts at €4.99 a month, less on longer terms. The 7-day trial turns it all on for nothing, and comes back every 30 days.

Do you need my Grepolis password?

No, and there is nowhere to type it. Grepobot runs inside the Grepolis tab you are already logged into. It never sees your password, never asks for it, and cannot log in on your behalf.

Will I get banned?

Possibly. Automating Grepolis is against InnoGames' terms of service and they do ban for it. Any bot site that tells you it is undetectable is telling you something it cannot know. What we can tell you is what Grepobot actually does: it acts through the game's own interface at human-scale intervals, it does not answer captchas for you, and it stops and waits when the game asks who you are.

What happens when Grepolis asks for a captcha?

Grepobot disarms itself and shows you the prompt, which the game client would otherwise swallow while a script is running. You answer it. The bot notices it was accepted and resumes. It never tries to solve one.

Which browsers work?

Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera and Brave, through Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey. Safari is not supported: it removed the extension format userscript managers used, and nothing maintained replaced it.

Do I have to leave my computer on?

Yes. Grepobot runs in your browser, in the Grepolis tab. No server plays for you while the tab is shut — which is also why your password never leaves your machine.

Does it work on my world?

Every Grepolis world, on every market. Grepobot reads the world's own speeds and costs from the client, so a world with unusual settings needs no configuration.

What language is it in?

28, including English, German, Dutch, Polish, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Greek. A language is only offered once it is fully translated, so you never get a half-English interface.

Do my settings follow me to another computer?

Yes. Towns, presets and limits are saved to your Grepobot account for each world, so a different machine or a fresh install picks up where you left off. Only the bot's language stays in the browser.

How do I turn it off?

Untick Act beside a town on the Towns tab and save, and that town is left alone. Each kind of work also has one switch in the toolbox. Disable the script in your userscript manager and Grepobot is gone.

Does Grepolis detect bots?

InnoGames does not publish how it detects automation, so nobody outside InnoGames can say what gets noticed. Grepobot never solves a captcha and waits for you to answer one. That lowers the risk; it does not remove it.

Is there a free Grepolis bot?

Yes. Grepobot's farming is free, with no subscription and no trial, for as long as you use it. Building, recruiting, research and the rest can be tried free for seven days.

Do I need to download a program?

No. There is no .exe or app. Grepobot is a userscript that runs in Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey, inside your Grepolis tab, and updates itself every time you open the game.

Why is the bot not doing anything?

Usually because no town is handed over yet. On the Towns tab, tick Act beside a town and press Save. Building and recruiting also need a preset; farming does not. The setup guide lists the other causes.

Is Grepobot safe to install?

It installs one userscript, not a program: nothing runs outside your browser tab, and it never asks for your Grepolis password. Each time you open the game it loads the bot from bot.grepobot.com.

Is this the official Grepobot site?

Yes, grepobot.com is, and the only install link is grepobot.com/grepobot.user.js. Copies on other domains and cracked builds on code-sharing sites repackage an older Grepobot, and we cannot see what was changed in them.
